Beyonce, Jay-Z Partner With Tiffany’s for Scholarship Fund

Be good indeed. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, coming off the heels of their About Love campaign with Tiffany & Co., announced on Thursday (Sept. 9) that their charities BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation have partnered with the luxury jewelry brand to launch the About Love Scholarship program.

Together, they have pledged $2 million in scholarship funding to Historically Black Colleges and Universitites — also known as HBCUs — to help students who are pursuing studies in history, communications, or the arts. Kansas City Southern Lines logoSHREVEPORT, La. — Kansas City Southern will partner with Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College for the railroad’s Skilled Trade Women’s Scholarship Program, to fund the education and training of three women in one of several areas: diesel, electrician, industrial maintenance technology, industrial instrumentation and electrical technician, or welding.

The first scholarship has been awarded to Leah Nichole Ellis, who participates in the college’s welding program.
